The 2025 BYD Seagull Intelligent Driving Edition continues the brand’s ocean-inspired design language, featuring a compact and agile overall shape with smooth, natural lines. It retains the design philosophy of the previous model, with a closed front grille paired with sharp headlights, delivering a refined and modern look. The trapezoidal design of the front fascia gives structure to the face, while the angular, flatter headlight design enhances its precision.

From the side, the new Seagull carries over the two-tone body design, with sharp character lines that add dynamism. The segmented, upward waistline contributes to a sporty stance, while the rear side windows narrow toward the back due to their shape. Instead of the common fully hidden door handles seen on many new energy vehicles, this model adopts semi-hidden handles to reduce drag while maintaining a unique look.

At the rear, the vehicle is compact yet practical, with relatively large rear doors and a through-type taillight. The taillight integrates BYD’s signature “Chinese knot” LED design from the Ocean series, now paired with a “BYD” badge in place of the previous “Build Your Dreams” lettering. A small spoiler above the rear window integrates a high-mounted brake light, adding both function and sporty flair.

Dimensions

The car measures 3780/1715/1540mm (L/W/H) with a 2500mm wheelbase—identical to the previous generation. While it sits at an average level for small cars, its optimized interior space is sufficient for daily use. Depending on the trim, the Seagull comes with either 15-inch or 16-inch wheels, with the larger 16-inch design enhancing its sporty appearance.

The 2025 Seagull Intelligent Driving Edition refines its front and rear bumpers with a simpler three-section intake design. Mid- and high-spec trims add intelligent driving hardware, including a triple-camera module on the windshield, side-view cameras integrated into the fenders, mirror-mounted cameras, and a rear-view camera near the high-mounted brake light. These upgrades not only boost the vehicle’s technological appeal but also provide hardware support for advanced intelligent driving functions. A new “Eye of the Gods” badge on the rear further emphasizes its unique identity.

Inside, the cabin design draws inspiration from a seagull’s outstretched wings, with a clean and elegant layout. Dual-tone color schemes create a lively atmosphere, while round air vents add a playful touch. Brushed metal accents and leather trim elevate the perceived quality, offering a premium feel within this price segment.

The new model features larger floating digital instrument clusters and central control screens, while most physical buttons and the traditional gear selector have been replaced with a column-mounted electronic shifter, emphasizing a minimalist and tech-focused interior. For models equipped with advanced intelligent driving, a dedicated drive-control paddle is added behind the steering wheel.
