Exterior-wise, the Tang L adopts the latest “Loong Face” design language, with the Tang L DM-i, Tang L DM-p, and Tang L EV sharing identical styling. Both the front and rear feature full-width light clusters, while the body lines are sharp and angular, evoking a mecha-inspired aesthetic. Compared to the Tang, the Tang L’s dimensions increase by 140 mm in length, 46 mm in width, 35 mm in height, and 130 mm in wheelbase. The Tang L also offers a Lingyuan drone-equipped variant, with this version standing slightly taller at 1970 mm. The Lingyuan in-car drone system, co-developed by BYD and DJI, enables dynamic takeoff and landing, intelligent follow-flight, and one-touch return-to-cargo functions, supporting one-click video creation to enrich travel entertainment.

The interior design features a strong sense of geometric cutting and three-dimensionality. Color options include Sunset Scarlet and Cloud Brocade Gray, both exuding a rich Chinese aesthetic. The cabin incorporates extensive soft-touch materials, with configuration highlights including a HUD display paired with a floating central touchscreen. The vehicle is equipped with the DiLink Ultra-Sensory Intelligent Cockpit (DiLink 150 Premium Edition), featuring a full-scenario AI voice assistant, multi-scenario modes, 5G connectivity, and the full-capability DeepSeek system. Front-row amenities include wireless charging, an aromatherapy system, a 21-speaker audio system, and an in-car refrigerator with heating and cooling functions.

BYD Tang L Seating

Seating adopts a classic 2+3+2 seven-seat layout. Except for the Premium trim, all five configurations feature ventilation, heating, and massage functions for both the front and second-row seats, ensuring comfort for both family use and business hospitality.

Powertrain

Powertrain options include plug-in hybrid and pure electric variants, with the Super e-platform’s advantages fully realized in the pure electric model. Powering the Tang L DM-i and DM-p models is fifth-generation DM technology. The new 1.5T engine delivers a maximum output of 115 kW, while both the front and rear motors produce 200 kW each. The maximum pure electric range is 215 km, with a 0–100 km/h acceleration time of 4.3 seconds. The maximum combined range reaches 1,430 km (1,270 km for the DM-p variant).

The pure-electric variant adopts the Super e-platform. The single-motor version delivers 500 kW of maximum power, while the dual-motor version features front and rear motors rated at 230 kW and 580 kW respectively, offering a combined output of 810 kW and a 0–100 km/h acceleration time of 3.6 seconds. Equipped with the new Blade Battery, the battery capacity is 100.5 kWh.

For suspension, the new model features the DiDyna intelligent chassis with double wishbone front and five-link rear independent suspension, complemented by the Yun Nian pre-emptive steering system.

Intelligent Driving

For intelligent driving, the BYD Tang L continues its policy of driving equality, with all models coming standard with the DiPilot 300 advanced intelligent driving system. Hardware includes a lidar unit, while functionalities cover city/highway cruising and support mainstream features like automated parking and valet parking.
