I. Exterior Design

The 2025 Seal 06DM-i continues BYD‘s “Ocean Aesthetics” design philosophy, with an overall styling that emphasizes the fusion of sportiness and technology.

Front Design: A closed grille paired with upturned “Double L” LED headlights, an inverted trapezoidal air intake, and smoked decorative strips create a striking visual impact. Newly added tri-cameras and millimeter-wave radars on both sides enhance the intelligent driving hardware layout.

Body Lines: A fastback roofline and sharp waistline create a sleek, dynamic stance. Semi-hidden door handles reduce wind resistance (drag coefficient: 0.255). An intelligent driving camera is integrated into the shark-fin antenna, while the “Eye of God” logo at the rear highlights its advanced driving capabilities.

Rear Details: The through-type taillights adopt a smoked-black finish, with teardrop-shaped cavities echoing the ocean theme. A rear diffuser further enhances the sporty feel.

With dimensions of 4830 × 1875 × 1495 mm and a wheelbase of 2790 mm, the new car is positioned as a mid-size sedan, offering superior space compared to its rivals.

II. Interior

The interior adopts a wraparound cockpit design, showcasing a youthful and intelligent aesthetic.

Layout: A wave-inspired center console is paired with a 12.8-inch or 15.6-inch floating (rotatable) center display, an 8.8-inch full LCD instrument panel, and a “Heart of the Ocean” crystal gear lever, enhancing the high-tech atmosphere.

Materials and Space: The seats are upholstered in imitation leather, with the driver’s seat offering electric adjustment. The flat rear floor provides more than two fists of legroom. The trunk offers 550 liters of capacity, with a 4/6 split-folding rear seatback—ideal for family travel.

Smart Cockpit: The upgraded DiLink 100 system supports full-scenario voice interaction (wake-up word: “Hello, Xiaodi”), dual-screen switching, 3D vehicle control, and 5G connectivity, greatly improving system responsiveness and expandability.

III. Power and Performance: Fifth-Generation DM Technology

The 2025 Seal 06 DM-i is equipped with BYD’s latest plug-in hybrid system, delivering an optimal balance of power and efficiency.

Powertrain: A high-efficiency 1.5L engine (46.06% thermal efficiency) is paired with a permanent magnet synchronous motor, available in 120kW and 160kW versions. Peak combined torque reaches 260 N·m, enabling 0–100 km/h acceleration in 7.9 seconds.

Range and Efficiency: Available with either a 10.08kWh or 15.87kWh Blade Battery, the CLTC pure-electric range is 80 km or 120 km. On a full tank and charge, the combined range reaches 2,100 km. WLTC fuel consumption is as low as 2.9L/100 km (depleted), while real-world fuel use is around 4.2L/100 km, rivaling traditional fuel-efficient cars.

Chassis: A front MacPherson strut and rear four-link independent suspension—optimized for plug-in hybrid platforms—ensure both comfort and stability. With a minimum turning radius of 5.5 meters, the car is highly maneuverable in urban settings.

IV. Intelligent Driving: “Eye of God” Enhancement

The highlight of the new model is the DiPilot 100 “Eye of God” advanced intelligent driving system, standard across all trims.

Hardware: Equipped with 29 sensors, including a triple-lens front camera, five millimeter-wave radars, 12 ultrasonic radars, and 12 exterior cameras, the system significantly improves perception accuracy and coverage.

Core Functions:

• Highway NOA (Navigation on Autopilot): Supports automatic ramp entry/exit, lane-keeping, intelligent overtaking, and obstacle avoidance, covering highways and expressways.

• Automatic Parking: Remote Parking and Valet Parking (AVP) come standard, memorizing frequently used routes and enabling easy maneuvering in complex parking scenarios.

• Safety Assistance: Integrated lane departure warning, automatic emergency braking, fatigue monitoring, and more ensure enhanced active safety.

• User Experience: A new intelligent driving paddle on the left side of the steering wheel allows one-touch activation of navigation functions for convenient operation.
