What is ASTM A335 P12 Alloy Steel Seamless Pipe?

ASTM A335 P12 Alloy Steel Seamless Pipe is a ferritic alloy pipe made as seamless through cold drawing production methods. The SA335 P12 material has carbon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, silicon, chromium and molybdenum in the composition. Because of the material composition of the ASTM A335 Gr P12 welded pipe, it has 415MPa minimum tensile strength, 205MPa minimum yield strength and 30% minimum elongation rate. The Alloy steel P12 pipes can be heat treated for strength. It could be normalized, annealed, isothermal annealed or quenched and tempered.
