BV Grade A Shipbuilding Steel Supplier

BV Steels are types of structural steel which are standardized by the American Bureau of Shipping for use in shipbuilding.BV steels come many grades in ordinary-strength and two levels of higher-strength specifications. BV Grade A steel plate is common strength shipbuilding plate which is mainly used for built hull of vessels, ship body construction. Normally when rolling,Air rolled and Control Rolled is ok for ship plate BV Grade A with the thickness equal and belows 40 Millimeters, and for thickness above 40mm,the heat treatment shall be Normalised or TMCP,these two technical treatment would improve steel strength in yield and tensile points.

BV Grade A shipbuilding Steel Application:

BV A grades of steel plate are almost exclusively used in the Shipbuilding Industry for the construction of structural parts of ships, barges and marine equipment. These grades are certified by BV – American Bureau of Shipping.

Characteristic of BV Grade A Steel

  • High Tensile Strength
BV Grade A marine grade steel plate has excellent strength to withstand dynamic loads and stresses at sea.
  • Good Toughness
BV Grade A marine steel sheet has excellent elasticity and impact resistance to maintain structural integrity in marine conditions.
  • Excellent Weldability
BV Grade A hull plates ship has efficient manufacturing and repair, which helps to simplify the construction and maintenance of marine structures.
  • Certification Standards
BV Grade A hull structural steel meets the stringent Bureau Veritas certification requirements, ensuring compliance with international quality and safety standards for the maritime industry.
  • Corrosion Resistance
BV Grade A hull steel can provide corrosion resistance, extending the life and reliability of ships and offshore facilities exposed to seawater.
  • Versatility
BV Grade A ship hull structure is suitable for a variety of marine applications, including shipbuilding, offshore platforms and marine infrastructure.
