Ferrosilicon 65, or ferro silicon 65%, is a brand that everyone is familiar with. Ferrosilicon is widely used in steel industry, foundry industry and other industrial production.

    Ferrosilicon 65 manufacturing process

    Raw materials for the production of Fesi 65: coke, iron ore, silica.

    The ferrosilicon 65 manufacturing process requires raw materials: the purity of silica SiO2 is above 97.5%. The surface is free of sand, dust or other impurities.

    Size range is between 80-140mm.

    The fixed carbon of coke is not less than 82%, the particle size is 8-18mm, the moisture is less than 16%, the volatile matter is less than 8%, and the ash content is less than 8%.

    The main chemical equation of the ferrosilicon 65% manufacturing process is SiO2+C=Si+CO.

    The entire reaction process includes four parts:

    1. Disproportionation reaction of SiO.

    2. The form of silicon carbide.

    3. Chemical decomposition of silicon carbide, molecular formula SiO2(L)+2SiC(S)=3Si(L)+2CO(g).

    4. Liquid CO2 reacts with SiC to generate silicon, SiO2 gas and CO gas. The formula is 3SiO2(L)+2SiC(S)=Si(L)+2CO(g)+4SiO(g).
