Ferrosilicon is produced using electric furnaces using coke and silicon as raw materials. Since silicon and oxygen can easily combine to form SiO2, ferrosilicon is often used as a deoxidizer in steelmaking. It can also be used as a suspended phase in the mineral processing industry and as a coating for welding rods in welding rod manufacturing. According to the silicon content, this product can be divided into ferrosilicon, with silicon content of 75%, 72%, 65%, 60%, and 45%.
