75 Ferrosilicon is widely used in steelmaking and casting. During the steelmaking process, steel needs to be oxygenated to achieve an ideal high-temperature environment. Uses of ferrosilicon 75:

(1) Ferrosilicon 75 is an indispensable deoxidizer in the steelmaking industry. In steelmaking, ferrosilicon 75 is used for precipitation deoxidation and diffusion deoxidation.

(2) Ferrosilicon 75 is used as an inoculant and spheroidizing agent in the cast iron industry. In the production of ductile iron, 75 ferrosilicon is an important inoculant (helping to precipitate graphite) and spheroidizing agent.

(3) Ferrosilicon 75 is used as a reducing agent in ferroalloy production. Not only is the chemical affinity between silicon and oxygen high, but the carbon content of high-silicon ferrosilicon 75 is very low. Therefore, high-silicon ferrosilicon (or silicon alloy) is a commonly used reducing agent in the ferroalloy industry to produce low-carbon ferroalloys.

(4) Ferrosilicon 75 is often used in the high-temperature smelting process of magnesium metal in the magnesium smelting process. The magnesium in CaO·MgO is replaced, and approximately 1.2 tons of ferrosilicon are consumed per ton of metallic magnesium. The production of magnesium metal plays an important role.

It can effectively improve the fluidity of molten iron, thereby preventing nozzle clogging and reducing the tendency of castings to become white.
