GAC HYPTEC A800 Exterior

Externally, the Hyper A800 adopts a coupé-inspired design, featuring split headlights and a 6-metre-long light strip extending from the front grille to the outer door panels. It incorporates Huawei’s megapixel intelligent projection headlights and is equipped with a roof-mounted laser radar unit.

From the side, the vehicle presents a full and muscular stance with dynamic proportions. Design highlights include flush door handles and frameless doors, contributing to a low drag coefficient of 0.21 Cd. Dimensions measure 5,130 mm in length, 1,966 mm in width, and 1,500 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,020 mm. At the rear, the three-tier full-width LED tail light assembly provides high visibility when illuminated, effectively enhancing the vehicle’s visual width.

Inside, the cabin features extensive leather upholstery and a wraparound interior layout. Metallic trim runs across the dashboard and extends into the door panels, complemented by 64-colour dynamic ambient lighting. The cockpit includes a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster, a 27-inch W-HUD, and a 14.6-inch central touchscreen. The infotainment system runs HarmonyOS 5, and is paired with active noise cancellation and a 14-speaker Harman Kardon audio system.

Seats are upholstered in Nappa leather with diamond-quilted stitching. The front seats offer heating, ventilation, and three massage modes, while the rear seats provide four-way electric adjustment and heating. The centre armrest integrates a touchscreen for controlling climate, seating, and multimedia functions, and an in-car refrigerator is also included.

Driver assistance

In terms of driver assistance, the Hyper A800 is equipped with the HUAWEI ADS 4 system, enabling automated on- and off-ramp manoeuvres on motorways and handling complex urban scenarios such as unprotected left turns and roundabout navigation.

Power

Power is provided by a 1.5T range-extended powertrain, delivering a WLTC-rated pure electric range of 178 kilometres. Fuel consumption under depleted battery conditions is rated at 5.74 L/100 km. The battery supports 30% to 80% charging in 30 minutes, and the vehicle reaches a top speed of 185 km/h. Additionally, the EASi electromagnetic active suspension automatically adjusts damping based on road conditions, balancing ride comfort and lateral support.
