In terms of styling, the new JMEV Yichi 05S adopts a closed front grille paired with split headlight clusters. The continuous daytime running lights visually extend the width to 1870 mm, while the high/low beam units are integrated on both sides of the trapezoidal air intakes. Black honeycomb textures emphasize a sporty and energetic appearance. The front bumper’s enlarged airflow channels, together with semi-concealed door handles, help achieve a low drag coefficient—enhancing high-speed efficiency.

LED matrix headlights come standard on all trims, while higher-end versions add adaptive high/low beam functionality, providing significantly improved nighttime visibility.

With a body length of 4640 mm and a 2770 mm wheelbase, the JMEV 05S maintains an ideal wheelbase-to-length ratio, offering 900 mm of rear legroom. Glossy black side skirts with yellow accents and 19-inch black alloy wheels reduce unsprung mass, lowering body roll by 12% during cornering. The floating roof design, pronounced character lines, and traditional mechanical door handles contribute to a strong three-dimensional visual effect.

As a true JMEV Electric Vehicle, the Yichi 05S offers a 70 L front trunk, spacious enough for a 20-inch carry-on suitcase—outperforming gasoline rivals like the Honda XR-V. The model’s specific dimensions are 4640/1870/1685 mm (L/W/H) with a 5-seat layout.

Rear Design and Practicality

At the rear, the roof spoiler integrates a high-mounted brake light, while smoked taillights use modular dot-matrix illumination. The split light design enhances visual recognition and depth. The sculpted rear bumper incorporates fog lamps and reflectors, while the power tailgate with kick-sensor activation offers premium convenience. The 450 L trunk expands to 1200 L with the rear seats folded, providing class-leading capacity for camping and family gear.

Inside, the JMEV Yichi 05S combines technology and practicality. The cabin features a dual-spoke steering wheel, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 12.3-inch central touchscreen forming an intuitive interactive triangle. The iFlytek infotainment system supports continuous voice commands, while the passenger-side dashboard integrates a 50W wireless fast charger with cooling fan. A hollowed-out compartment under the center console easily fits a handbag, and 26 storage spaces throughout the cabin further enhance usability.

Driver’s seat ventilation and heating, plus dual Type-C ports in the rear, come standard across all trims.

Standard equipment includes cruise control, keyless entry/start, and LED automatic headlights. Higher trims add ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, and a negative ion + PM2.5 filtration system for a healthier cabin environment.

Power and Performance

The JMEV 05S specs highlight impressive efficiency and balance. Powering the SUV is a single electric motor producing 165 kW of maximum power and 210 Nm of peak torque, driving the front wheels to a top speed of 170 km/h. Two battery configurations are available: 56.31 kWh and 70.38 kWh lithium iron phosphate packs, delivering CLTC ranges of 500 km and 610 km, respectively.

Fast charging from 30% to 80% takes just 25 minutes. The 500 km version offers a 3.3 kW external power supply, while the 610 km version supports 6.6 kW external output—ideal for outdoor and emergency power use.

The front MacPherson strut and rear multi-link suspension, tuned by the MIRA team, provide exceptional lateral support and comfort during cornering, ensuring a stable and refined driving experience.
