Leapmotor Lafa5 Exterior

The Leapmotor Lafa5 features a closed front fascia with a full-width LED daytime running light. Its sporty front bumper adopts a three-section air intake layout, with the central cooling vent integrating an active grille. The vehicle will be offered in two signature colors: Electric Yellow and Wind Grey, along with Starry Night Blue, Morgan Pink, Galaxy Silver, and Metallic Black. It also features frameless doors and 19-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels.

From the side, the body lines flow seamlessly from front to rear. Slightly flared front and rear fenders create a wide-body visual impression. The smooth body surface — free from sharp creases — combined with hidden door handles further reduces aerodynamic drag. The model measures 4,430 mm in length, 1,880 mm in width, and 1,520 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,735 mm.

At the rear, the vehicle is equipped with an integrated roof spoiler with a high-mounted brake light. The taillights adopt a full-width layout, with staggered clusters on both sides. When illuminated, they create the signature lighting effect characteristic of Leapmotor models. The rear bumper features a two-tone design contrasting with the body color, showcasing a deeply layered composition. A rear diffuser-style trim panel further enhances the sporty appearance.

The interior continues the vehicle’s athletic character, incorporating matte gunmetal chrome accents throughout, paired with extensive soft-touch materials to balance sportiness and comfort. Base models offer Speed Purple and Shadow Gray themes, while higher trims adopt a Racing Gray interior. The headliner and seats use a mix of genuine leather and faux suede microfiber, embossed with track-inspired motifs and exclusive Lafa5 branding. The Lafa5 features a rectangular fully digital instrument cluster, while the passenger side integrates a modular expansion island with six mounting slots (top and bottom) for compatible accessories.

Intelligent Technology

In terms of intelligent technology, the vehicle will offer two driver assistance configurations. Versions with and without roof-mounted LiDAR have already been filed for approval. The LiDAR-equipped variant will support advanced functions such as NAP Pilot Assist.

Powertrain

The Lafa5 will offer both high- and low-power electric motor configurations. The high-power version outputs 160 kW with a top speed of 170 km/h, while the low-power variant delivers 132 kW and a top speed of 160 km/h. Official figures confirm two CLTC range options: 515 km and 605 km.
