Non-oriented silicon steel is a special silicon steel material with excellent magnetic properties and low energy consumption. Non-oriented silicon steel is often composed of silicon, iron and a small amount of carbon, manganese and other elements. Classification of silicon steel

(1) According to the production process: it can be divided into hot-rolled and cold-rolled silicon steel. Hot-rolled silicon steel has low availability and high energy loss, and has been gradually phased out. Cold-rolled silicon steel is divided into oriented silicon steel and non-oriented silicon steel according to the orientation of the internal grains.

(2) According to the different silicon content, electrical steel is divided into two types: low silicon wafers (medium and low grades) and high silicon wafers (high grades). Low silicon wafers have a certain mechanical strength and are mainly used to manufacture motors, commonly known as motor silicon steel sheets; high silicon wafers have good magnetism but are brittle and are mainly used to manufacture transformer cores, commonly known as transformer silicon steel sheets.

Silicon steel sheet performance indicators

1. Low iron loss. The most important indicator of quality, countries around the world use iron loss value to classify grades. The lower the iron loss, the higher the grade and the higher the quality.

2. High magnetic induction intensity. Silicon steel sheets can obtain higher magnetic induction under the same magnetic field. The size and weight of the motor or transformer core made with it are relatively small, which can save silicon steel sheets, copper wires and insulating materials.

3. High stacking coefficient. The surface of the silicon steel sheet is smooth, flat and uniform in thickness, and the stacking coefficient of the core is improved.

4. Good film processing properties. This is even more important for manufacturing small and micro motor cores.

5. The surface has good adhesion and weldability to the insulating film, which can prevent corrosion and improve film punching properties.

6. The magnetic aging phenomenon is small. ·Silicon steel sheets must be delivered after annealing and pickling.
