• Strength: It is defined as a steel with a minimum specified yield strength of 460 MPa (67 ksi) and tensile strength ranging from 570-720 MPa.
• Impact Toughness: It has specified minimum Charpy V-notch impact toughness properties, with testing performed at -40°C (-40°F) to ensure suitability for cold ocean environments.
• Heat Treatment: The typical delivery conditions include Quenched and Tempered (Q+T) or Thermo Mechanical Control Rolling (TMCP) to achieve the desired mechanical properties.
