Plan and Design Phase

1. Define Production Requirements

• Production Capacity Target: Determine daily output based on farm scale (e.g., 50–60 tons/day).

• Feed Type: Distinguish between ruminant feed (for cattle and sheep) and non-ruminant feed. Ruminant feed requires emphasis on crude fiber processing, with a grinding fineness of 4–8 mm.

• Process Flow: The typical process includes raw material reception → cleaning → crushing → blending → mixing → pelleting → cooling → grading → packaging.

2. Site Layout Principles

Zone Management

Production areas, raw material storage, finished product storage, and office areas must be strictly separated. Clean and dirty pathways should be kept apart to avoid cross-contamination.

Environmental Design

Dust collection systems and wastewater treatment facilities (e.g., manure separation machines) must be installed.

• Equipment Placement: Noise-generating equipment such as grinders and mixers should be placed away from office areas. Silage pits should be located close to the feed processing area to minimize transportation losses.

Stable and Reliable Equipment Selection

1. Washing Machine
   Its primary function is to remove impurities and iron from all feed raw materials, delivering clean materials to the grinder. This ensures product quality and protects the grinder for continuous operation.

2. Feed Crusher
   Before producing livestock pellets, raw materials must be crushed to the required particle size.

   • Fine livestock feed can be crushed to over 2 mm, as coarser feed aids regurgitation and improves digestibility.

   • Feed for older livestock should be ground to less than 1 mm for easier digestion.

   • If raw materials include grass, a specialized feed grinder must be used.

3. Feed Mixer

   Mixing is an essential step in livestock feed pellet production. A mixer blends the ground raw materials. We offer three types of mixers:

   • Single-shaft mixers

   • Double-shaft paddle mixers

   • Screw ribbon mixers

   We provide mixers equipped with misting spray systems to add the required liquids and enhance pellet quality. When the formula contains lightweight grass, we ensure its proportion is accurately calculated and select the appropriate mixer type.

4. Feed Pellet Machine

   This is the core equipment in the livestock feed pellet production line. We equip our pellet machines with stainless steel feeders and conditioners to ensure high-quality pellets.

   • The conditioner quality directly affects pellet quality and can be customized according to specific raw materials or production needs.

   • Since livestock are ruminants and their feed includes grass powder, a forced feeder must be included.

5. Cooler system 
   The freshly produced pellets are hot and humid (80–90°C), so we cool them with a counterflow cooler to reduce their temperature and moisture before further processing or packaging.

6. Screener system 
   Feed pellets may vary in size and contain fine powder. A screener grades and filters the pellets to ensure uniform, powder-free final products.

7. Packaging Machine

   • Finished pellets that need packaging are processed by an automatic packaging machine.

   • Products not requiring packaging are transported by bulk trucks.

8. Conveying System

   In the production line, we transport materials both before and after processing. Therefore, we require a full set of conveying equipment.

   • Corn raw materials typically arrive in bulk and are unloaded into the receiving area.

   • They are transported via scraper conveyors to the lifting point, then elevated to silos for storage.

Environmental Protection and Safety Measures

• Noise Control: Our design includes soundproof enclosures for grinders and fans, and we plant vegetation around the facility to reduce noise pollution.

• Dust Explosion Prevention: We use closed conveying systems and also install explosion-proof electrical devices in key areas.

• Waste Management: Our system processes manure through a solid-liquid separator to produce organic fertilizer and collects leachate from silage pits for biogas power generation.
