On October 14, the new Arcfox Alpha T5 (Configuration | Inquiry) commenced pre-sales, offering six variants including extended-range and pure-electric models. Pre-sale pricing ranges from $17,437.84 to $22,903.08. As a facelifted model, the updated Alpha T5 introduces a new 1.5L extended-range powertrain with a CLTC pure-electric range of 215 kilometers. The new Arcfox Alpha T5 Extended Range Edition features a distinct exterior design compared to the current pure-electric models, adopting a new closed-off front fascia with a revised front bumper grille and side air ducts. Additionally, the headlight clusters have been restyled with T-shaped daytime running lights. The model introduces two new body colors: Vanilla Blue and Lava Gray.

The rear end of the Alpha T5 Extended Range has also been updated with a redesigned rear bumper, a hidden exhaust layout and retains its signature full-width taillights. Dimensions measure 4760/1936/1650 mm (L/W/H), with a wheelbase of 2845 mm—70 mm longer than that of the pure-electric variant.

The interior of the new Arcfox Alpha T5 remains consistent with the current pure-electric version, retaining the instrument-less interface design and utilizing a HUD (Head-Up Display) system as a replacement. The cabin features a floating central control screen powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8775 chip. Additionally, the vehicle incorporates hidden air vents and a column-mounted gear selector. Official sources confirm that all trims come standard with electric sunshades, as well as seat ventilation, heating, and memory functions, alongside urban/highway NOA navigation-assisted driving capabilities.

Powertrain

Powertrain-wise, the new Arcfox Alpha T5 range-extended variant employs a 1.5-liter range-extender system. Its drive motor delivers a maximum power output of 200 kW and a peak torque of 360 N·m. The vehicle utilizes CATL’s Xiao Yao battery (lithium iron phosphate), achieving a CLTC pure-electric range of 215 kilometers and a combined range of 1,215 kilometers. It supports 30%–80% fast charging in 15 minutes.

Range

The new Alpha T5 Pure Electric Edition continues to utilize an 800-volt high-voltage ultra-fast charging platform. All models are equipped with CATL batteries, supporting 5C ultra-fast charging, with a maximum range of 705 kilometers (an increase of 45 kilometers over the current model’s maximum range). For reference, the current Arcfox Alpha T5 Pure Electric Edition features a single motor with maximum power outputs of 200 kW or 185 kW, delivering peak torque of 360 N·m, with an official 0–100 km/h acceleration time of 7.5 seconds. It offers three battery pack capacities—65 kWh, 74.4 kWh, and 79.2 kWh—corresponding to pure-electric ranges of 520 km, 630 km, and 660 km, respectively.

The Arcfox Alpha T5 recorded September sales of 1,930 units, ranking 41st in the midsize SUV sales chart for the month.
