What is ABS DH36 steel?

ABS DH36 steel is designed to resist the harsh saline conditions of marine environments, and DH36 steel plate is typically employed for fabricating ship’s hulls, bulkheads, upper decks and hatch covers. DH36 steel contains elements such as Nb, V, Ti, and other alloying metals, and micro-alloying technology is used to enhance its mechanical properties. The controlled rolling process refines the grain of the alloy, and improves durability. Simply put, the H series of shipbuilding-grade plate offers some of the highest performance steel in the world.
