What is EN10028-2 16MO3 Steel Plate?

16Mo3 is a EN10028 specified pressure vessel grade molybdenum steel alloy for use in elevated working temperatures.
The material is used as a weldable steel in the fabrication of industrial boilers and steel pressurised vessels found in the oil, gas and chemical industry. Due to the materials molybdenum content, 16Mo3 has excellent heat resistance and corrosion resistant characteristics.

Application

16Mo3 is widely used in reactors, heat exchangers, separators, spherical tanks, oil and gas tanks, liquefied steam tanks, nuclear reactor pressure casing, boiler drum, liquefied petroleum cylinder, high-pressure water pipe of hydropower station, water wheel vortex casing and other equipment and components in petroleum, chemical and power plant industries.
